CBIRD specialises in providing our clients with individual and group loan products, which can be lent in Khmer Riel (KHR), US Dollar (USD), and Thai Baht (THB) depending on the operational areas of CBIRD and clients’ needs.

Individual loans

An individual client can borrow any amount ranging from KHR 200,000 to KHR 40,000,000 or from USD 50 to USD 10,000 or THB 2,000 to THB 400,000, from 4 to 24 months with an interest rate between 2% and 4% per month.
Group loan

The group must consist of 2 to 5 members and each individual must guarantee the group in any concern.
A member can get a loan not exceeding KHR 4,000,000 or USD 1,000 or THB 40,000 and take this over a period between 4 to 12 months with an interest rate of 3%-4% per month.

IFAD Loan

The clients can borrow the money from our IFAD project in the event that they have been trained in the agricultural courses offered by the AIP programme. CBIRD operates an IFAD project in two provinces Siem Reap and Battambang. Hence, the clients can borrow and repay their loans with the village banks of CBIRD in the target areas.
 
Compulsory Saving

TThe clients must deposit 5% of their loan disbursed before getting the loan from CBIRD. Deposits are not restricted to clients, but other members who are not official clients can also make deposits at an interest rate of 7% per year and 12% per year if the deposits are up to KHR 4,000,000 or USD 1,000 or THB 40,000.
